Mahec restaurant, located at Le Meridian has always been the first choice of all Indian foodies in Dubai. The place became more happening as they launched a new Lounge & Bar on 2015 New Year’s Eve.
Mahec Restaurant has been known for their food since years. The restaurant decided to launch a new Lounge & Bar along with theme nights to give the place a different wave of energy. Heych team got involved with the restaurant for re-branding and creating a buzz about the launch to get footfall the place.
Mahec had a great following as a fine-dine restaurant and was doing good business. There was always a risk of losing some segment of the audience who might not be comfortable with the Lounge & Bar facility.
Also the re-branding had to be done in such a way that there is a newness incorporated but without losing the existing identity of the brand.
To avoid losing the existing customer base team along with the architects decided to keep a clear separation between both the parts of the restaurant whilst giving both sides a feel of each other. The re-branding involved a small switch over in the brand fonts, colors and change to the logo unit to accommodate the new communication.
The brand had no digital footprint as such Heych team decided to start with a new brand website which oozes the luxury and sophistication along with a young feel of the Lounge and theme nights. This was accompanied by noise on social media and buzz on radio. Heych team worked along with Josh FM and had the contest #MahecMoments where the users had a chance to win the passes to the NYE 2016 night at Mahec, they just have to tag who made their last year special and win passes worth AED 4,000.
